About Workshop

We’re partnering with Jane’s Walk Ottawa to host People For Places: Transform Your Passions Into Place. We’re bringing CityMakers together to imagine and design the spaces that are important to them.

Special Guest CityMakers include:

  • Zara Ansar: blogger behind xovelo, a videographer, Awesome Ottawa trustee, and organizer of the Plaid Bike Parade.
  • Kathryn Hunt: Bike Ottawa board member, a member of the Healthy Transportation Coalition, and more recently involved in working to get a neglected neighbourhood footpath paved and its park lit.
  • Gada Nohraactive member of CAWI promoting women’s empowerment, and promoting wellness with City Councillors at Family Services, City Committees, OPS, and Healthy Transportation Coalition. Gada coordinated the first Dialogue with Ottawa Police Services and the Community in 2009, and the Flag and Banner program. Gada also participanted in a Multicultural day event, to promote public education, awareness and advocacy.
