A growing global movement that is changing how people interact with their cities.

What if hundreds of people united, each taking one small action to improve their city, all on the same day?

100in1day Canada is part of a global initiative with the goal to inspire change in cities across the country by compelling residents to activate 100 innovative, thought-provoking ideas into interventions to enhance their city all on one day.

Originating in Bogotá, Colombia in 2012, it has encouraged hundreds of small-scale, community-based interventions in cities around the world with things like street art, urban gardens, beautification projects, social events, and improvements in city infrastructure all being profiled in a city-wide festival on one day.

It has taken place in over 30 countries world-wide and in 6 cities across Canada – Toronto, Vancouver, Halifax, Montréal, Hamilton and Edmonton.

100In1Day will be presented by Synapcity in Ottawa next year. Look for more details in the coming months. Contact us if you want to collaborate and have ideas for small-scale citizen led community actions to make our city healthier and happier.

We will share more news on this initiative very soon. If you’d like to know more in the meantime, contact us.
