Citizens as Co-Creators: A 100in1Day Jane’s Walk

About Workshop

As a lead up to the 100in1Day festival on June 2nd, this Jane’s Walk will explore the ways in which citizens co-create the neighbourhoods they live in. Starting in McNabb Park and weaving up and down side streets and Gladstone Ave., we will show examples of how individuals and community groups have influenced the social and built environments in the park and on the streets. During the walk, we’ll be sharing ideas about ways that citizens can take action to improve the city, one small initiative at a time.

Workshop Details

Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. Jane’s Walks encourage people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.
