Kick-start your #100in1dayOTT intervention
Synapcity and its partners, the Preston Street and Westboro BIAs want to give you a micro-grant of $50 to help lift your idea off the ground.
The first ever #100in1day festival is coming to Ottawa on June 3, 2017, and Synapcity and its partners, the Preston Street and Westboro BIAs want to give you a micro-grant of $50 to help lift your idea off the ground.
No strings attached, folks. Just send us a quick note after you register your #100in1day event on the website to let us know you can use it. The first event organizers to get in touch will be awarded the micro-grants.
Interventions are small actions that make you and your neighbours happier – they don’t need to cost a lot. They just need your imagination. Interventions can be street art projects, free outdoor music performances, flash mob events, pop-up picnics, bike parades, temporary art installations, guerilla gardening projects, neighbourhood walking tours, and so much more.
The Preston Street and Westboro BIAs are offering $50 grants to five people or groups in each of those communities to help inspire your event.
Live outside these BIAs? Synapcity is also offering ten $50 grants to kick start events throughout the city.
Originating in Bogotá, Colombia, in 2012, #100in1day has encouraged thousands of community interventions in the streets, sidewalks, laneways, public squares, parks, waterfronts, front lawns, porches and common spaces of cities around the world.
100in1day is a festival of possibility – what will you do?
